Dark Age of Camelot: Foundations is a complex player and guild housing system. Many questions have been
asked by players regarding the freedom and limitations behind housing. If you have a question, please read

Q: What is Dark Age of Camelot: Foundations?
A: Dark Age of Camelot: Foundations is a FREE expansion pack for Dark Age of Camelot subscribers, which provides a brand new "player housing"
system. This new system lets players own and maintain individual as well as guild houses.
Q: How much does Dark Age of Camelot: Foundations cost?
A: The housing expansion pack is absolutely free to all Dark Age of Camelot subscribers.
Q: Do I need to have Shrouded Isles to play with the housing expansion?
A: No. You may have either Shrouded Isles or Classic Camelot. Please be sure to download the correct installer when getting the Foundations files!
Q: How many housing lots are available?
A: Each housing zone contains 200 housing lots for building your homes upon. As of the launch of Foundations, we will have 3 housing zones
per realm, giving players 600 housing lots per realm, for a total of 1800 housing lots. More housing zones will be added to meet
housing demands, as needed.
Q: How many homes can I own?
A: You can own one house per account, per server. (Except on the PvP and PvE servers - Manual Link)
Q: Is there a rent cost associated with owning property and a home?
A: Yes, rent is required when owning a home. You can read the Paying rent Chapter of the online housing manual for more details on
the rent themselves.
Q: Can I upgrade or downgrade my home to a different model?
A: Yes, you are capable of upgrading or downgrading your home between the four available tiers in each realm; however, you will lose money from your lockbox in the process. Read the Maintaining a House section of the online housing manual for more details.
Q: Can I upgrade my home to be a guild house?
A: Yes, homes can easily be converted to guild houses.
Q: What kinds of merchants can I expect to be able to have in my home?
A: There are several NPC merchants available for players to place in their home, which even provides house members with a small discount on services.
